Since our founding in 1981, the AKArama Foundation has actively made a difference in the lives of many, raising over 2 million dollars to support scholarship and community programs in the Woodlawn area. Last year alone, $45,000 worth of scholarships were distributed - a testament to our continuing commitment to a brighter future for the children in our communities.

The purpose of our annual fundraiser, including this year's Samba Soul event, is to consolidate our efforts and expand our reach, enabling us to offer increased support for those who will benefit from our scholarship and community activities.
